Some where after 34 weeks...Scares and pregnancy

Well as of Thursday last week I did not know how the end of this pregnancy would end up. Tuesday at my appointment I was told that I was measuring 38 weeks. That means my uterus was measuring 4 weeks ahead. So, the doctor said on the 6th of February she wanted to me to have an ultrasound. I didn't think too much of it she breifly mentioned it could be the baby measuring big or me having too much amniotic fluid. When Thursday came I was a little stressed out some things came up at work and it just became an overwhelming day. So, I stopped by the grocery store to take my blood pressure because I just wasn't feeling 100%. My blood pressure is usually around 112/75 very good. Well the monitor that night said 135/85 (much higher then usual). I was a little concerned. Well then I started having more so then usual painful contractions. I had them through the day at work they just were not very painful just really tight. So, after not getting much sleep Thursday I decided to call the doctor Friday morning. They had me go in to the office and my blood pressure was still high and I was of course still measuring 38 weeks so the doctor thought that I may have polyhydraminos which is a little more concerning then just a little too much amniotic fluid. This could potentially put me in to pre-term labor and the umblical cord could be prolapsed meaning the umblical cord comes out and the baby can't breath well then I would have to have an emergency c-section and well there are several bad things to follow. The other causes of too much amniotic fluid is problems with the baby including; neural tube defects, thyroid and several other digestive issuses. Needless to say the doctor told me to stay off my feet. The doctor said on Monday they would get me in for an ultrasound and determine what was going on. My weekend was very stressful. There was so much to do and not nearly enough time to do it. My mom was wonderful and came over to clean my house (it really needed it, I can barely bend over). Saturday I couldn't even tie or put on my shoes. SCARY!!!! So, once again I let it get the best of me and stressed all weekend. Monday morning (this morning) came and it was time for the ultrasound. My mother in-law and mom came, poor Kenney had to work. The ultrasound showed that my amniotic fluid was normal/perfect and they took mearsurments of Gavin. He is estimated to be 7.5 pounds. Which means here I am 35 weeks and he is measuring 37.5 weeks almost 38 weeks. WHAT! I still have 5 weeks to go. He could grow a lot in those 5 weeks. He is VERY healthy and is just squeezed in to very tight quarters right now. I met with my midwife afterwards and well now I am measuring 40 weeks. Realistically I she said I could have him in the next 2 weeks. At 2 weeks he will be closer to the 8.5 pound mark. She figured if we get in to March he may be over 10 pounds. At that point I said, "C-section I do not want him to be injured and I would just rather schedule it out, no emergencies." Stay tuned it could be soon.

Bedroom Progress

As a new mom we are supposed to get excited about decorating the nursery, right? I have dreaded working on the room because we had so much work to do in it. Well as of this weekend we have made some good progress. It is painted. We still have a good weekend left of stuff to do. But we are getting closer. The items on shelf will not necessarily stay there but to model I used them. :)

31 weeks and counting....

So, he sure is growing inside there. I swear he is building something maybe a canoe to get out. Kenney doesn't see how my skin can stretch any further. It literally looks like he is going to rip through at any point. When he moves inside my stomach it looks like waves in a really bad storm. I am enjoying the movenments a great deal. Knowing he is getting himself ready for the World is so exciting. I am getting closer and closer with his room. Consolidating a craft/office room in to our little house has been a much bigger task then orginally thought. Closer and closer. Pretty much just need to get rid of a lot of stuff at the dump. I have been doing great downsizing. Seriously like 10 bags of Goodwill and 10 bags of junk going to the dump. Move down my checklist, almost to the fun decorating stuff.
